16 MERCURY VERADO 350 HP 350HP COMPLETE OUTBOARD BOAT ENGINES MOTORS 3 PCS

Here we have a package of three matching 2016 Mercury Verado 350 engines. These engines were all in service last summer of 2025 at which time they were removed. 

The vessel was dry docked for regular service work. No codes thrown, no ill effects of operation reported as side from slight vibration of the center engine, thought at the time to be due to a propeller hub.

When the vessel was up and cowls removed it was discovered all three engines had the same issue.

A small plastic fitting on the front of each super charger had popped off.

This fitting is part of the engine cooling system supplying raw water to cool the supercharger.

As a result water was spraying from each fitting, this spraying water got into the air box for each engine and into the charge air for combustion.

For some period, there was water being ingested into cylinders when the engines were running.

The period is unknown but limited to the last time the cowls were off 1 year prior. Suspected less but unknown.

The port side engine is believed to have had the worst exposure as there was several inches of water in the air box.

There was not as much water accumulated in the center and starboard engine airboxes.
